Yet we have had a measure of success.

Here's a rundown of the top ten ABC23 YouTube videos of 2007:

10. Bakersfield Condors Teddy Bear Toss. I almost dropped the camera when I got nailed by a stuffed anmal at the Bakersfield Condors "Teddy Bear Toss." I think there were way more stuffed animals than people viewing this video on YouTube. Yet it still made the top ten. Watch ABC23's Mike Hart wrestle a giant bear (Current Views: 862):



9. Preston Nash Discusses Godsmack Song Controversy. I wrote the article, "Godsmack Song Sounds Like Radio Jingle," and even went on-air with Preston Nash of KNZR 1560 to discuss his dilemma. I shot the video with a handy Powershot I used to carry (Current Views: 882):



8. Dwight Yoakam Interviewed At Buck Owens Birthday Bash. Dwight Yoakam released "Dwight Sings Buck," a compilation album of Buck Owens hits. I wrote an article about the tribute CD and pulled a few quotes from this YouTube interview (Current Views: 1,185):



7. Batman Fan Film Shot In Downtown Bakersfield. When the Dark Knight returns to the theaters I think this video just might get a few more views. According to Hectic Films, the related ABC23 article, "Batman Fan Film Shot In Downtown Bakersfield" got them a few mentions on prominent filmmaker Web sites. Now watch as Rod Lester and Hectic Films talk Batman (Current Views: 1,326):



6. Desperate Housewives And Filipino Reactions. One of my first on-air Nick 2.0 pieces was on the controversial slamming of Filipinos on the TV show, Desperate Housewives (Current Views: 1,628):



5. ABC23 Looks At Zeno Expressions. Who would have thought robots would make for such a hot topic? I was at the Wired Nextfest in Los Angeles and saw a really cool robot that might one day replace many children (Current Views: 2,281):



4. Hay Truck Catches Fire At Nightclub, French Maid Talks. Our first ever video on YouTube is also one of our hottest. I'm thinking the French maid is who really sells this wacky raw news video about a hay truck fire at a girly bar. What do you think? (Current Views: 3,510)



3. Zoo Attack Examination: How Do Tigers Escape? After a siberian tiger escaped from the San Francisco Zoo and mauled three people, I did a blog analysis using YouTube videos (Current Views: 4,548):



2. Hanson Robotics Talks Zeno. More robot children? Better believe it. This video made its way around the globe and back (Current Views: 5,554):



1. Brian Head Welch On ABC23. I did a phone interview with Brian Head Welch that was a lot of fun to do. But it wasn't nearly as popular as the YouTube video that is still getting views. (Current Views: 10,530)
