Take a walk down the Kern Recreational Bike Path near the Park at Riverwalk and you will feel like its Christmas already. In fact, take a walk through the park itself. There are so many trees wrapped like candy you might feel like you’ve slipped into a Willy Wonka dream.
It’s all to prevent damage from a family of beavers who live in a creek just east of the park.
While the creek isn’t currently filled with water, it is filled with muddy beaver trails, weedy water-borne ivy-like plants and a home of logs and sticks protruding from the side of the creek bed.
